Payment Policy

This Payment Policy explains checkout and payment handling for purchases from Lava Lamp.

Checkout Currency

Product prices, order totals, and refunds are displayed and processed in United States dollars (USD), unless checkout clearly states otherwise.

Accepted Credit and Debit Cards

Eligible cards on the Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, JCB, Diners Club, and Discover networks may be accepted. Availability can depend on the issuer, billing location, and methods actually enabled in Shopify checkout.

We do not claim to accept installments, cryptocurrency, or another method unless that option is visibly enabled at checkout.

Authorization and Review

Submitting an order allows the payment provider to authorize the transaction and may create a temporary hold. Payment, inventory, address details, pricing errors, or suspected fraud may be reviewed before acceptance. If a collected order is canceled, the appropriate amount is returned to the original payment method.

Billing Information and Declines

Provide accurate cardholder, billing, and contact information. A bank or processor may decline payment because of incorrect details, insufficient funds, authorization limits, geographic restrictions, or security controls. Contact the issuer for details about its decision.

Payment Security

Payments are handled by Shopify and the providers shown at checkout. We use reasonable safeguards, but no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Refunds

After a return is received and inspected, an approved refund is issued to the original payment method. Banks and card providers usually take 5–10 business days after issuance to post it.

Taxes

Applicable taxes are collected where required by law and displayed at checkout. We do not guarantee that every transaction or jurisdiction is tax-exempt.
